Dan Farley is the Director of Assessment at the Oregon Department of Education. He has worked as a state and school administrator, Title 1 Assessment System Peer Reviewer, educational diagnostician, and public school teacher. Dan earned his PhD in quantitative research methods from the University of Oregon’s Educational Measurement, Policy, and Leadership department in March 2017. He has been Director of Assessment at the Oregon Department of Education since November of 2017. His work focuses on supporting Oregon districts in implementing anti-racist assessment practices that are continuous, comprehensive, and coherent.
