Governing Board Contract Opportunities

The National Assessment Governing Board issues opportunities for contracts to carry out its legislative mission, as stated in Public Law.  An annual forecast of contract opportunities is posted at the U.S. Department of Education’s website page Doing Business with the Department of Education. The forecast is updated on a quarterly basis. Notices of planned contract actions and contract awards are issued and posted as follows:

  • $15,000 or under follow the requirements of simplified acquisition procedures at FAR Part 13.

  • $15,000- $25,000 are posted on our web site, as required by FAR Part 5.101, the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 1708).

  • $25,000 and over are posted at in accordance with FAR synopsis requirements.

  • Planned contract actions for Federal Supply contracts will follow the requirements of FAR Subpart 8.4 and adhere to guidance issued by GSA. All Federal Supply Schedule contract awards issued by the Governing Board can be found at
